As a recent ‘convert’ to paint and colour, I am enjoying developing an Impressionist style in both my realist and abstract work. In these portrait and figure works, my training as a classical drawer has given me the tools to quickly capture the life and likeness of the model while my ongoing growth in composition and colour move my paintings to become more than just a representation of a figure or landscape.
